Maple Habanero Wings

Chicken wings in a glaze made with Mae’s Seasonings Maple Habanero. For a light meal serve with veggies and dip or a green salad. Also great for an appy night.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • GLAZE:
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 large onion diced
  • 4-6 garlic cloves minced
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp lime juice juice of 1 lime
  • 4 tsp Mae's Seasonings Maple Habanero
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp honey

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400 F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a large bowl, toss wings with oil, smoked paprika and salt.
  • Place wings on the baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes or until beginning to get crispy.
  • Glaze: In a medium pot on medium - high heat, melt butter and add onion and garlic and cook until lightly browned. Add water, apple cider vinegar, lime juice, Maple Habanero, ground ginger and salt. Cook until boiling. Take off heat and using an immersion blender, puree the sauce until the onion and garlic are well blended. Add in maple syrup and honey.
  • Place mixture in a large bowl; toss well with wings and place back on baking sheet and cook for 5 - 10 minutes until starting to caramelize.
