Mae’s Seasonings Chili Lime is a great rub for on or off the barbecue with chicken, pork, prawns, and fish. This is also good when mixed with some olive oil and mix in chicken wings. This would also be a great addition to fish tacos, quesadillas, corn on the cob and as a Rimmer for Margaritas and Caesar’s.

Chili Lime Rub is a blend of spices that is composed of spices common in Mexican and Tex- Mex inspired cooking. This is a perfect blend for your summer grilling and a great blend for seafood. The chillies and lime compliment it perfectly. The pairing of chipotle chili peppers and lime is great combination for summer grilling and cooking that elevates poultry, fish & seafood, steak, and vegetables.
Smoked Paprika – is one of the traditional Mexican spices that you need for that true authentic Mexican flavour. It has a distinct smokiness, as it is dried by smoking, typically using oak wood. So, this is a great addition in our Chili Lime Rub as it adds a unique barbecue flavour.
Onions and Garlic – Are in most Mexican dishes, and perfectly compliment most Mexican recipes. With Garlic and Onions as the savoury foundation to Mexican cuisine, Garlic is among the most common flavours you will see in Mexican food. These aromatics just adds so much flavour to salsa, guacamoles, tacos, and burritos.
Brown Sugar – is a very common addition to rubs because its used as a natural tenderizer and helps to caramelize the meat.
Limes – Are widely used in Mexican cuisine and offer an acidic component that is very much needed in Mexican recipes. Lime juice is a crucial ingredient of Mexican cuisine. Its used in Margaritas, salad dressings, salsas, meat marinades and more.
SUGGESTED USAGE: This rub can also be used as a seasoning and is a great all-purpose seasoning. 1 – 2 tbsp per I lb of meat.
