MAE’S SEASONINGS MAPLE CHIPOTLE RUB is excellent on a roasted turkey or chicken. You can either rub it on or make a paste and mix with olive oil or melted butter. You also mix some Maple Chipotle with chicken or turkey broth for your roasted turkey. Just make sure to baste the turkey so that it doesn’t dry out. This can also be used as a rub on many white meat birds or pork as well. It may also be used as a seasoning for food dishes such as chicken or turkey pot pies, soups, including vegetable soups and roasted vegetables and excellent on salmon. You can do a lot with this Fall Winter blend. Mae’s Seasonings is passionate about enhancing the flavour of your meals.

Chipotle adds a big punch of flavour to your dishes. That’s why we added this here. It gives great flavour to your dishes.  Chipotles are a smoke-dried ripe jalapeño chili pepper used for seasoning. It is a chili pepper used primarily in Mexican and Mexican-inspired cuisines, such as Tex-Mex and Southwestern United States dishes. Chipotles are spicy and have a distinctive rich smoky flavor. So be careful how much you add if you don’t like spicy food. Its between a mild – medium for heat level. So, its not crazy hot.

PAPRIKA has a distinct smokiness, as it is dried by smoking, typically using oak wood. This bright red spice adds a smokier flavour without the extra heat from adding more chipotles.  Smoked Paprika adds so much flavour to chicken and salmon.

THYME pairs wonderfully with chipotle. This herb has a gentle flavour that is earthy with floral hints and a slight minty flavour. It can also be used to add flavour and depth to marinades. Thyme is a great addition to Mae’s Chipotle Rub for that Fall Flavour. Great for your Thanksgiving or Christmas roasted Turkey or Chicken.

MAPLE SUGAR sweet maple sugar pairs perfectly with the smokiness of the chipotles and smoked paprika. We only use 100% real maple sugar from a small family farm in Quebec. Maple sugar was the earliest form of sugar produced in Canada and remained the typical sweetener until the 1850s with the foundation of a cane sugar refining company in Montreal. Maple syrup is most affiliated with Canada, as Canada is its largest producer. The national flag of Canada also features a large red maple leaf.
