Thai Shrimp Lettuce Wraps

Shrimp is marinated using Mae's Seasonings Garlic Lovers. Then these are topped with peanut sauce, and peanuts. You could also add some cilantro if you wish.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and tails removed
  • 1 tbsp Mae's Seasonings Garlic Lovers
  • Juice from 1 lime (2 tbsp)
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 large head butter lettuce
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup carrot matchsticks
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • Peanut sauce
  • Chopped roasted peanuts
  • Lime wedges, for serving 

Instructions
 

  • Rinse and pat dry the shrimp. In a medium bowl, combine Garlic Lovers, lime juice, sesame oil, salt and pepper. Toss with the shrimp until well coated. Cover and let marinate in fridge for 30 minutes.
  • In a large skillet over medium - high heat, melt butter and cook shrimp for 1 - 2 minutes per side until they turn pink and opaque.
  • Assemble: take a lettuce leaf and top with cabbage, carrots, bell peppers, and onions. Then top with shrimp, peanut sauce, peanuts, and a lime wedge.
