Cuisine Grilling, Mexican
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 jalapeño pepper thinly sliced
- 4 salmon filets
- 1 tbsp Mae’s Seasonings Smoked Jalapeno
- 1 lime, thinly sliced (optional)
In a small pot, heat the honey and jalapenos over medium - low heat. Let the honey come to a light simmer then take off the heat. Let sit for a few minutes. Then strain the honey with a fine mesh strainer to remove the jalapenos and the seeds.
Preheat your grill to medium - high and lightly oil the grates. Season salmon with Smoked Jalapeno. Oil a piece of aluminum foil and place salmon. Spoon a few tbsp of honey on top. Fold the foil to create a boat; then place on grill and cook for about 10 - 15 minutes.
Let sit for 5 - 10 minutes and drizzle with a bit more honey and add the jalapenos on top.
Top with lime slices if desired.
