Beef Lasagne
Beef Lasagne made with Mae's Seasonings Tuscan Herb and Garlic. This is made with oven ready lasagne noodles to save you some time but if you prefer you can use regular noodles. Serve with garlic toast if you like.

- 12 oven ready lasagne noodles
- 1 large onion, diced
- 6 - 8 garlic cloves, minced
- Olive oil
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 tsp Mae’s Seasonings Tuscan Herb & Garlic
- 1 can (680 ml) pasta sauce
- 1 can (156 ml) tomato paste
- 1 cup water
- Salt & pepper
- 2 cups cottage cheese
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 3 cups grated mozzarella cheese, (plus 1/2 cup for topping)
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
In a large frypan over medium - high heat, sauté onion and garlic in some oil until lightly browned. Add in ground beef and Mae’s Tuscan Herb and cook until no longer pink, about 10 minutes. Add in pasta sauce, tomato paste, water, salt and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes. Set aside 1 cup of sauce.
Preheat oven to 350 F.
In a small bowl combine cottage cheese and eggs and set aside.
Spread 3/4 cup meat sauce over bottom of 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Arrange one layer of noodles over sauce, breaking to fit if necessary. Layer 1/2 remaining sauce, 1/2 cottage cheese and 1/2 mozzarella. Cover with second layer of noodles and repeat meat and cheese layers. Top with last 4 noodles and cover with reserved meat sauce and sprinkle with 1/2 cup mozzarella and parmesan.
Bake in preheated oven for about 45 minutes or until noodles are tender.
Let rest for 15 minutes before cutting.
