Creamy Tomato Soup
Creamy Tomato Soup made with Mae's Tuscan Herb and Garlic. Pair with a grilled cheese sandwich if you like.

- 4 tbsp butter, divided
- 2 onions, minced
- 4 - 6 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp Mae’s Seasonings Tuscan Herb & Garlic
- 2 cans (28 oz each) whole tomatoes
- 2 cups chicken or vegetarian broth
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups half and half cream
- 1/3 cup shredded parmesan cheese
- salt, to taste
In a large pot on medium - high heat, sauté onions in 2 tbsp butter until lightly browned. Add in garlic and Tuscan Herb and cook for 1 minute.
Add in tomatoes, broth and brown sugar and stir to combine. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low and let simmer for 30 minutes.
Using an immersion blender, blend the soup until your desired consistency. Return soup to stove and add in cream, 2 tbsp butter and parmesan.
Taste and adjust seasonings if needed.
