Chipotle Rubbed Steak

Ribeye Steaks rubbed with Mae's Seasonings Chipotle Cocoa. Then finished off with butter for a very tender steak.

Equipment

  • cast iron skillet (preferably)

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp olive oil 
  • 2 tbsp Mae’s Seasonings Chipotle Cocoa 
  • 2 ribeye steaks 
  • 2 tbsp butter  

Instructions
 

  • Rub oil on both sides of the steaks and then rub in Mae’s Chipotle Cocoa. Let sit for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  • In a large cast iron skillet on medium - high, cook the steaks for 4 minutes without flipping; then flip and cook for 4 more minutes.
  • Reduce heat to medium - low and add butter. Once the butter has melted, spoon the butter over the steaks repeatedly until your desired doneness.
  • Transfer to a plate and let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
