Burgers:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 6 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 small red onion, finely diced
- 1/2 small red bell pepper, finely diced
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 4 tsp Mae’s Seasonings Greek Souvlaki
- 1 egg yolk
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
- Salt and pepper, optional
- 4 hamburger buns
- Tzatziki Sauce
Suggested Toppings:
- Lettuce
- Tomatoes
- Cucumber
- Olives
- red onions
- Crumbled Feta cheese
Make Tzatziki the day before if you can.
In a large bowl, mix together beef, garlic, onion, bell pepper, paprika, Greek Souvlaki, egg yolk, lemon juice, breadcrumbs and feta. Form into 4 patties and season with salt and pepper if desired.
Stove: In a cast iron skillet on medium - high, cook burgers for 3 - 4 minutes per side.
Grilling: Preheat your grill to medium - high and oil the grates. Cook burgers for 3 - 4 minutes per side.
Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
Spread Tzatziki sauce on both sides of the bun and top with any suggested toppings.
