This is a great all – purpose seasoning. It is great when used in a marinade for chicken, lamb and pork for souvlaki and gyros. It is also excellent for Greek Style Roasted Potatoes or Lemon Greek Rice. This can also be used as a vinaigrette for your Greek Salads or add to Greek Yogurt for a creamy Greek Salad Dressing. MAE’S SEASONINGS GREEK SOUVLAKI is a Greek seasoning with the addition of more onion and garlic which makes it a fantastic addition for souvlaki and gyros. You can either marinate your chicken, pork, steak, lamb or salmon with olive oil and red wine vinegar or with some Greek yogurt which makes very tender and juicy meat. Just season with Mae’s Seasonings Greek Souvlaki. This can be added to ground beef for a Greek twist in hamburgers. Just add feta to the mix as well. Can also be used in soups for that Greek inspired soup. This can also be enjoyed by vegans or vegetarians by making Greek Stuffed Peppers with chickpeas. Mae’s Seasonings is passionate about enhancing the flavour of your meals.
Oregano is a staple ingredient in Mediterranean cooking and is known for its earthy, warm, and slightly bitter taste which can be used fresh or dry. But the dried versions do have more flavour.
Red Bell Peppers is very common addition to the Classic Greek Salad. Red Peppers are also used in a red bell pepper and feta dip and in Greek Stuffed Red Bell Peppers.
Lemon is a key ingredient in Greek cooking such as Tzatziki sauce, roasted potatoes, rice, marinades, Greek Avgolemono which is the classic egg – lemon sauce and this sauce is the key ingredient for the classic lemon chicken rice soup.
SUGGESTED USAGE: 2 – 3 tsp per I lb of meat.
