Hickory Steak with Bacon Butter
Grilled steak made with Mae's Seasoning Hickory Smoked BBQ Rub and recipe included for a bacon compound butter.

- 2 steaks
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp Mae’s Seasonings Hickory Smoked BBQ Rub
Bacon Butter:
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 2 pieces bacon, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp dried chives
- 1 tsp liquid honey
Bacon Butter: In a large frypan, cook bacon until crisp. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Let cool to room temperature. Using a handheld mixer, beat butter until very soft, about 3 minutes; add in bacon, garlic, chives and honey. Wrap in plastic wrap to form a small log and place in freezer until firm.
Steaks: Rub steaks with oil then add Hickory Smoked BBQ Rub. Let sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before grilling.
Preheat your grill to high (450 F) Cook steaks for 3 - 5 minutes per side or until your desired doneness.
Let rest for 5 - 10 minutes before serving.
