Lemon Greek Rice

Greek rice made with Mae's Seasonings Greek Souvlaki. This goes great with any Greek entree. Serve with a Greek Salad if you wish.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 - 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup long grain rice, Jasmine or Basmati
  • 2 tsp Mae’s Seasonings Greek Souvlaki
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • Juice from 1 lemon

Instructions
 

  • In a medium pot on medium heat, saute onions and garlic in butter until softened and transparent.
  • Stir in rice and Greek Souvlaki and cook for 2 minutes until rice starts to lightly brown.
  • Stir in chicken broth and once boiling turn heat to low; cover and cook for 15 minutes.
  • Take the pot off the heat and let sit for 5 minutes without lifting the lid.
  • Stir in lemon juice and serve.
