Salisbury Steak
Salisbury Steak made with Mae's Seasonings Steak Spice. Perfect meal for the fall and winter months. Pair with mashed potatoes and veggies for a complete meal.

- 1 onion, diced
- 6 garlic cloves, minced
- Olive oil
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp Mae’s Seasonings Steak Spice
Gravy:
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
In a large frypan over medium heat, sauté onion and garlic in oil until lightly browned; set aside.
In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, panko, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon, and Steak Spice. Once combined stir in onion / garlic mixture. Form into 4 or 5 oval patties.
In same frypan over medium heat, sear patties 2 - 3 minutes per side until browned but not fully cooked; set aside.
Gravy: Heat oil over medium heat, and saute onion until lightly browned; add in mushrooms and saute until mushrooms are browned. Stir in butter until melted; then add in flour and cook for 1 minute. Add in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce and cook until slightly thickened. Season with salt and pepper if desired.
Add patties back in and cover. Cook until patties are cooked and no longer pink, about 10 - 15 minutes on medium - low heat.
Serve over mashed potatoes.
