Salisbury Steak

Salisbury Steak made with Mae's Seasonings Steak Spice. Perfect meal for the fall and winter months. Pair with mashed potatoes and veggies for a complete meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 onion, diced 
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced 
  • Olive oil 
  • 1 pound ground beef 
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs 
  • 1 egg 
  • 2 tbsp ketchup 
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce 
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard 
  • 1 tbsp Mae’s Seasonings Steak Spice 

Gravy:

  • 1 tbsp olive oil 
  • 1 small onion, diced 
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms 
  • 3 tbsp butter 
  • 3 tbsp flour 
  • 2 cups beef broth 
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce 
  • Salt and pepper to taste 

Instructions
 

  • In a large frypan over medium heat, sauté onion and garlic in oil until lightly browned; set aside.
  • In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, panko, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon, and Steak Spice. Once combined stir in onion / garlic mixture. Form into 4 or 5 oval patties.
  • In same frypan over medium heat, sear patties 2 - 3 minutes per side until browned but not fully cooked; set aside.
  • Gravy: Heat oil over medium heat, and saute onion until lightly browned; add in mushrooms and saute until mushrooms are browned. Stir in butter until melted; then add in flour and cook for 1 minute. Add in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce and cook until slightly thickened. Season with salt and pepper if desired.
  • Add patties back in and cover. Cook until patties are cooked and no longer pink, about 10 - 15 minutes on medium - low heat.
  • Serve over mashed potatoes.
