Slow Roasted Pulled Pork

Pulled Pork using Mae's Seasonings Smoked Hickory BBQ Rub. This is made in the oven at a very low temperature which makes this so tender. This is traditionally served on a bun with coleslaw.

Ingredients
  

  • 6 pound bone in pork shoulder 
  • 1/4 cup olive oil 
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce 
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced 
  • 2 tsp salt 
  • 2 tbsp Mae’s Seasonings Smoked Hickory 

Instructions
 

  • Mix together oil, Worcestershire, garlic, and salt; rub over pork. Then rub in Smoked Hickory Rub. Wrap in plastic wrap and let sit it fridge for at least 12 hours.
  • Let sit out for 1 hour before cooking. Preheat oven to 450 F.
  • Lightly grease your roasting pan and place pork in and cook for 20 minutes. Reduce heat to 200 F and continue cooking for 6 - 8 hours or until meat reaches 180 F. If the pork isn’t browned enough turn up heat to 450 F and cook for about 10 - 15 minutes.
  • Let rest for 15 minutes before serving.
