Tzatziki

A very easy Tzatziki sauce recipe using Mae's Seasonings Greek Dip Mix. There are so many uses for this. This is great when served with Spanakopita and pita bread. Also great with Chicken Gyros and Chicken Souvlaki. This can also be used as a marinade for chicken.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cucumber, peeled, seeded & grated 
  • 2 tsp salt 
  • 1 container (500 ml) Greek Yogurt 
  • 2 - 3 tbsp Mae’s Seasonings Greek Dip 
  • Juice from 1 lemon (2 tbsp) 
  • 1 tbsp white wine vinegar 
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil 
  • 1 tsp Dillweed 

Instructions
 

  • Peel and grate cucumber and let it drain in a colander for at least 3 hours with the salt to draw out the liquid.
  • Combine together yogurt, Greek Dip Mix, lemon juice, white wine vinegar and strained cucumbers.
  • Then slowly add in olive oil. Add some more salt if needed.
  • Transfer dip to a serving bowl, and sprinkle with dill Let sit in fridge for at least 1 hour before serving.
