Hickory Salmon

Grilled salmon fillets seasoned with Mae's Hickory Smoked BBQ Rub and finished with a butter baste. A quick and flavourful recipe that's perfect for the BBQ or cast iron.

Instructions:

  1. Clean salmon and pat dry with paper towels. Mix together Smoked Hickory Rub and oil. Brush over salmon and let sit for 20 minutes.
  2. Preheat your grill over medium - high heat. Once your grill is hot, place a cast iron skillet on grill and allow to heat for 2 minutes or until hot. Add salmon and cook for about 4 - 5 minutes. Flip and continue cooking for another 4 - 5 minutes. Add in butter and once melted spoon over salmon.
  3. Remove from grill. Salmon is done typically when it reaches  145 F.
  4. Let sit for 5 - 10 minutes before serving.
