
Creamy Cajun Pork
Ingredients
- 4 thick cut rib pork chops
- Salt and pepper to season
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 4 - 6 garlic cloves. minced
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tbsp Mae’s Seasonings Cajun Blackened
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Cooked egg noodles, for serving
Instructions
- Season chops with salt and pepper. Heat butter and oil together in a large frypan over medium - high heat. Brown chops about 5 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate; set aside.
- Add onions and mushroom to frypan and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add chicken broth to deglaze pan, stirring up any browned bits. Turn down to low and add pork. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes or until pork is no longer pink and cooked.
- Remove pork and set aside. Increase heat to high and bring pan juices to a boil and reduce by half. Turn down to low and whisk in sour cream, Cajun Blackened and smoked paprika until smooth and creamy and cook for 3 minutes. Taste and adjust seasonings if needed.
- Let pork sit for 5 - 10 minutes and serve over hot buttered egg noodles.
