If you're looking to elevate your grilling game, look no further than our Cowboy Coffee Rub. This rub is perfect for beef or pork steak, burgers, beef or pork ribs, beef brisket, roast beef and pork tenderloin. This rub is great for grilling, roasting and smoking your meats.
But this also works well with chicken, lamb and game meat and it can even be sprinkled on vegetables for an added depth of flavor.
It is believed that coffee rubs were originated with American cowboys who sprinkled coffee grounds on their steaks before cooking them over the fire. Coffee rubs compliment the rich flavour of beef with an earthy taste. The natural acidity in coffee helps to tenderize the meat. When cooking at a high heat, it nullifies the caffeine in the coffee.

When you apply this rub generously, it can create a great crust on your meats. We also added some Hickory smoke to give your meat some extra smoky flavour which goes so well with this rub and this rub goes extremely well with our Honey Hickory BBQ Sauce especially for burgers and ribs. This rub has quickly turned out to be our best seller at the markets.

- Coffee Grounds: The star of the show, coffee grounds add a robust and slightly bitter flavor that enhances the savory notes of the meat. Use freshly ground coffee for the best results.
- Brown Sugar: This adds a touch of sweetness that balances the bitterness of the coffee and helps create a caramelized crust on the meat. Is a natural tenderizer for your steak. The sugar starts working before it hits the pan. So, if time allows let it sit for at least 30 minutes. The longer it sits the more tender your meat will be. The sugar also caramelizes the meat creating a nice brown crust.
- Smoked Paprika: Paprika contributes a smoky depth and a hint of heat, making it a must-have in any cowboy coffee rub.
- Chipotle Pepper – are smoked dried jalapeno peppers which provides a complex flavour to savory dishes. This has smoky flavour with some pleasant heat and a hint of sweetness. This is very popular in BBQ dishes and pairs perfectly with coffee so it makes a great addition to our Cowboy Coffee Rub.
In this seasoning blend, we use high quality ingredients including Rodelle Cocoa, Verka Sugar, and Kirkland Signature Coffee.
SUGGESTED USAGE: Rub in olive oil then 1 – 2 tbsp per 1 lb of meat and let sit in refrigerator for at least 2 hours if time allows. But, let sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before you start cooking. This allows the flavors to penetrate and tenderize the meat. Whether you're grilling, smoking, or roasting, this rub is versatile and enhances a variety of cooking methods.
