Poultry Seasoning is excellent in your homemade stuffing recipes. It can be used as a rub on chicken, turkey, pork, veal, lamb, and many other white meat birds. It may also be used as a seasoning in casseroles, soups, stews meat loaf, chicken or turkey pot pies or roasted vegetables. This is also good in vegan and vegetarian soups. Poultry Seasoning can also used in vegetarian stuffing. Just replace chicken stock with vegetable stock and bake in the oven. You can do so much with this Fall and Winter spice blend. There is also some added onion and garlic which is not usually found in poultry seasoning. But they add so much flavour to poultry seasoning. Mae’s Seasonings is passionate about enhancing the flavour of your meals.

SAGE is the main ingredient in Mae’s Poultry Seasoning. The most common use for sage is in your holiday stuffing. You can also make a stuffing for vegetarians by replacing the chicken stock for veggie stock and bake in the oven. Traditionally, sage is used to flavour sausages and fatty meats like goose, duck, and pork. A little goes a long way with this this strong spice. Sage is a member of the mint family. It has a strong, earthy, slightly minty flavour that makes it the perfect addition to season poultry, sausage, stuffing, and root vegetables. Sage has grey green leaves with somewhat furry exterior.

ONIONS AND GARLIC are not commonly in poultry seasoning. The onion and garlic add so much more flavour to Mae’s Poultry Seasoning. Once you start cooking with Mae’s Poultry Seasoning you will taste the difference.

THYME is another herb that is necessary for poultry seasoning. This herb has a gentle flavour that is earthy with floral hints and a slight minty flavour. Thyme is also great in dishes like braised or roasted meat, vegetables, and fish. It can also be used to add flavour and depth to marinades.

MARJORAM is an herb that is a milder version of oregano so you can use more of Marjoram due to its milder taste. Marjoram is closely related to oregano and in the mint family. Marjoram is sweet, floral, and lightly spiced. Marjoram is great in marinades for chicken and fish. It also goes great with sautéed or roasted vegetables, and excellent in Italian and Mexican dishes.

ROSEMARY is an herb that pairs beautifully with thyme, Rosemary can be woodsy and peppery. But it is also part of the mint family. Rosemary also goes great with garlic. Rosemary is one of the earliest herbs used in Greece. Its usage was found on cuneiform stone tablets as early as 5000 BCE. This herb is commonly known to flavour lamb, beef, and potatoes.
